Building 1 is Air-conditioned by Inverter Hideaway Split Units located in the basement. Building 2 is Air-conditioned by 2 ducted package units that divide this space into thermal zones. Both buildings incorporate many sustainable elements including insulation, thermal efficient glass, energy efficient lighting and air ventilation systems. Rentmeester
The building consists of four office floors (Ground – 3rd). The floor plates are the same and are laid out in three wings, linked to a central access / services core. The office floors are served by indoor ducted hideaway units, located in zones of approx. 80 m². Air is distributed to the office areas via insulated galvanised sheetmetal ducting in the ceiling voids and ceiling-mounted supply air diffusers. A combination of cassette and console type split units are installed for the external zones of the building. These units are fitted with inverter compressors and use the latest, environment-friendly refrigerant. The project kicked off in September 2010 and was completed in May 2011. The approximate contract value was R 4 million.
Altech Office Building
HVAC & Datacentre - Altech is a Warehouse and office space in Linbro Park. We have installed a mixture of inverter technology and standard DX crak Units on this project. Included in ventilation was Mechanical smoke extraction.
PPS Conservatory
HVAC PPS required two new building extensions; one a multipurpose function room for training and lectures and the other a dining conservatory for dinners for staff The budget for the two new buildings was limited; however the client also required the air conditioning equipment to be as energy efficient as possible. We installed members as well as guests. Energy efficient and cost effective inverter DX Split units throughout the extensions as well as timers to all fans, to ensure that no equipment would run unnecessarily.
Dischem Warehouse, Allandale
HVAC The facility consists of a 13800m2 warehouse, a 4233m2 climate controlled pharmaceutical warehouse, offices, conference rooms, and call centre totalling 5218m2 of air conditioned space.
Daikin’s heat recovery VRV system was installed in the executive offices utilising multiple indoor ducted hideaway units. The implementation of this system allows for each office to be independently controlled while benefiting from the reduced energy consumption offered by the heat recovery functionality. The pharmaceutical warehouse, conference rooms, open plan office areas, and calling centre are all served by Daikin air cooled rooftop package units. The total combined cooling capacity of the all air conditioning systems is 1037kw.

28 Church
HVAC Audit The 28 Church Square building is a Seven story office building. The refurbished HVAC system consists of Water cooled Chillers located in the Basement Plantroom and Open circuit cooling towers within the Roof Plantroom. A Diesel Fired Boiler located in the Basement Plantroom produces steam for heating purposes within the building.
Chilled Water and Steam is supplied to the two Air Handling Plants located in the basement which serve the Ground floor offices. Chilled water is supplied to individual wall mounted fan coil units on the perimeter walls in each office of the building. Steam is distributed to a plate heat exchanger situated in the roof plant room where water is heated and circulated to the fan coil units in the offices.
